In addition to hosting the Jingle Ball every year, the Capital City Clauses organizes toy drives at hundreds of local businesses. These toy drives significantly increase the impact we have on the Salvation Army’s Christmas Cheer Campaign. All toys collected will be donated to the Salvation Army’s Christmas toy shop. This toy shop is temporarily set up during the month of December to help families in need to “shop” for their children's Christmas toys.
By helping with these area toy drives, we help the Salvation Army collect even more toys for families in need.
HOST A TOY DRIVE
Hosting a toy drive is easy! If you are interested in hosting a drive on behalf of your company, please fill out the form below.
In mid-November, the Capital City Clauses will drop a toy bin and posters off at your company to be used for the toy drive. You will also get a letter explaining the toy drive and the Christmas Cheer Campaign is all about. Please place the toy bin in a prominent location so that your coworkers and customers can easily drop off their donated toys.
Your bin and the many toys you have collected will be picked up on a pre-determined day by a Salvation Army representative. You will be notified of your pick up date and time by a Capital City Clauses Board member the week of the Jingle Ball.
That’s it! We have seen businesses use this as a team building exercise, a service project, and even a competition between groups in their office by offering incentives for their employees to give to such a worthy cause.
